Book of Laws

We are an ethical company, and we pride ourselves in disassociating ourselves from corrupt and fraudulent practices. Hydro-Utilities Consulting Engineers (Pvt) Ltd’s corporate governance charter underscores the propagation of sound business ethics at all staff levels and across its business operations, as the foundation upon which good governance and increased business can be realised.

Board and senior management at Hydro-Utilities succinctly hold the belief that ‘walking the path’ of sound ethical business practice, not only gives them an edge in today’s highly competitive global marketplace but also helps to shape employee behaviour giving them the confidence they need to discharge their duties efficiently and effectively.

To date, the firm’s directors and senior management have undertaken the Business Ethic Centre’s Ethical Leadership Development Programme (ELDP) training, and employees have gone through a series of workplace and engineering practice ethics workshops meant to equip them with ethical skills that will help them resolve ethical dilemmas inherent in the workplace and engage in ethical decision making. Hydro-Utilities are proud to be associated with the Zimbabwe Business Ethics Centre.

Modern City

Hydro-Utilities are committed to contributing towards the social, economic and environmental well-being and transformation of the country. We do this by engaging with like-minded institutions and organizations and fostering partnerships where we offer our services in various forms (including pro bono where appropriate) for the benefit of the citizenry of the nation. We participate in the national affairs of infrastructure development through the Zimbabwe Institution of Engineers and the Built Environment through various committees, steering councils and working groups.

We believe also in building capacity and empowering our engineers and technicians through regular training courses and this is our responsibility to ensure modern and best practices are followed in our designs and project implementation. On a yearly basis, we support the country’s universities in offering and placing students for their industrial placements.
